Kelly Werthmann Biography
Kelly Werthmann is an Emmy-winning American journalist who serves as the weekend evening anchor and weekday reporter for CBS News Colorado (KCNC-TV) in Denver, Colorado. She has been a prominent member of the CBS Colorado team since 2012, when she first joined the CBS Colorado Mornings show as a reporter.
In 2013, Kelly joined the late-night team at CBS News at 10. Being part of the team, she often served as a fill-in anchor for the CBS Colorado Sports team. While there, she covered the Super Bowl XLVIII in New York and the Super Bowl 50 in California. She was later launched as the CBS Colorado Mornings weekend anchor chair before returning to CBS News at 10.
Furthermore, in 2020, CBS News Colorado established a 24-hour streaming service, with Werthmann serving as the nighttime anchor. This was before the COVID-19 pandemic struck Colorado and the rest of the country. Nonetheless, she continued to provide the public with the most up-to-date information about the pandemic. She has returned to Weekend Warrior, and you may join her every Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Kelly attended the University of Colorado Boulder in 2005 to study Communication and Media Studies. Following the short course, she enrolled at Montana State University Billings and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies.
Furthermore, her journalistic career began in Billings, Montana. She spent five years in the Big Sky State before returning to Colorado to serve as a general assignment reporter on F0X 21. Outside of work, she enjoys working at Colorado Horse Rescue in Longmont and enjoying the outdoors.
